GDAMS is getting closer!

Global Day of Action on Military Spending on April 17, 2012 is organized to coincide with the release of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI) new annual figures on world military expenditures. On this day, people on all continents will join together in actions to focus public, political, and media attention on the costs of military spending and the need for new priorities.

Norwegian Peace Council for the second time, together with partners from the Peace House: Norwegian Peace Association, No to Nuclear Weapons, Peace Brigades International, Children»s International Summer Villages, is organizing Global Day of Action on Military Spending on April 17, 2012.  We would like to underline that this is one of the first common initiatives of the Peace House. We have also invited other organizations to participate on this special day: Changemaker, Grandmothers for Peace, Fredsskattalliansen, Folkereisning mot krig.
